I was a little surprised when I read an article on billboard.com about Jessica Simpson's new country single. Apparently, it is breaking records and getting a lot of positive feedback.Simpson's move to country music is a bold one. It takes guts to put yourself out there. Not every singer has the chops to pull off a country record. Surprisingly, Simpson shines. In spite of those who did not have faith in the girl -- myself included -- Country radio really seems to dig her. Congratulations to her for that.
The new single is called Come on Over, and let me tell you -- Simpson certainly delivers. She's got the upbeat twang down, the instruments are rockin', and her voice is ever so lovely. Check it out. Here's hoping the rest of the new album is as decent as this right here.
