You ready for this?
The Virgin Megastore in Times Square will say goodbye next year.
Due to continuing rent increases, the store will close and the space will be rented out to any company willing to pay higher rent. Same goes to the Virgin store in Union Square too. That's sad because I've got friends who work there.
Our poor economy is dying.
Here is a list of a few more companies facing store closings as well...
the Home Depot, Foot Locker, Linens 'n Things, Ann Taylor, Zales, Pier 1 Imports, Dell, Rite Aid, Sprint Nextel Corp., and CompUSA.
